Hydrade uses unique technology between different sensors to differentiate itself from the other smart bottles already in the market.
Current “smart bottles” measure the difference of water volume in the flask using various methods such as measuring strips, proximity sensors, or weight measuring. For Example
- Proximity Sensor Method – With this method, a proximity sensor from the cap to determine how much water has left from the container compared to the previous measurement.
- Measuring Strip Method – With this method, a measuring strip measures water level in the container and uses it to determine the level difference, hence translating it to the hydration intake.
The Method’s mentioned above are not efficiently accurate in terms of recording hydration data.
Our technology can determine if you are drinking water or pouring water into the sink.Hydrade uses a set of sensors to take in data. The main sensor would be the water detecting ring on top of the bottle. The bottle records the presence of water when the bottle is tilted as the body of water meets the sensor, but it won’t detect water droplets on the sensor. Then, when the first sensor is triggered by the body of water in the container, it initiates the 9-axis accelerometer to measure its rotation and tilted angle.
Hydrade uses unique solar power cells to automatically charge when the bottle is exposed to illumination. The only time the bottle is not charging is when it is a pitch dark room.
We use unique technology and software to be able to measure water intake using several different sensors, all housed between the cylinders of the double wall insulation.
These different sensors communicate with one another to be able to accurately measure water intake, knowing the difference between when you are drinking water, pouring it out, or drinking water with ice.

- Environment Dependent – when the bottle is left at exposed to the sunlight on a sunny day (110,000 lux; which is the unit for illuminance), it takes approx. 20 hours for it to fully charge.
- *NOTE – The solar panels operate down to the granular level of 200 lux while the typical overcast day’s illuminance arranges from 1000 – 2000 lux. This means the bottle is always charging unless it is kept in the complete darkness.
